Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Selous game reserve
After breakfast, then introduction from our stuff you will be picked up from your hotel/Airport in Dar es Salaam drive to Selous game reserve which is almost (218.6 km) approximates 6 hours driving, arrive at Hippo camp in time for lunch. Enjoy evening boat safari and overnight at Hippocamp.
Day 2: Game drive in Selous game reserve
After breakfast in the morning with your lunch boxes enjoy full day game inside the game reserve, great animal sightings including all the great favorites lion, elephant, giraffe, buffalo, zebra and all the other major species like hunting dogs and birds in the afternoon after lunch then proceed with the game drive until evening and overnight at the Hippocamp.
Day 3: Selous game drive
You will spend the last full day on a game drive within Selous Game Reserve, so named after the explorer Frederick Selous. Selous is the largest protected wildlife reserve and a UN World Heritage site. After breakfast enjoys your game drive with your lunch boxes and overnight stay at Jimbiza camp.
Day 4: Selous to Mikumi national park
After breakfast with your lunch boxes drive to Mikumi National Park 5 hours driving, arrive late afternoon enjoy game drive inside Mikumi park where you will able to see wide variety of bird species, zebras, hippos, hartebeest, wildebeest, impala, warthog, eland antelope, giraffe, buffalo and elephants and overnight at Tanswiss lodge.
Day 5: Mikumi national park game drive
Enjoy a full day of game drives in Mikumi National Park. You will eat a picnic lunch at midday and get the chance to see some of what you missed on the first day in the park. Your dinner and overnights stay will be at Lodge.
Day 6: Mikumi to the Udzungwa Mountains
Today you will depart for Udzungwa Mountain National Park, arriving in the afternoon. Take part in a half day of hiking and bird watching in the pristine rain forest. Later you will trek towards the Sanje waterfalls for spectacular views of the wide Kilombero Valley. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at the Udzungwa Forest Camp.
Day 7: Trials and birds watching in the Udzungwa Mountains
After breakfast, hiking through the beautiful forests and landscape scenery of Udzungwa with packed lunch boxes with a professional guide, on the way you will learn about various trees used for traditional healing, a bird life and then heading to the top for a great and an amazing view of the ‘Sanje Waterfalls’ And while on top of the Waterfall, you can have a great view of the enormous Kilombero Sugarcane Valley (one of the biggest Tanzania’s sugarcane plantation). Back in the late evening for a hot dinner and stay the night at Udzungwa Falls.
Day 8: Udzungwa to Ruaha national park
After breakfast early in the morning from Mikumi national park by Jeep drive direct to Ruaha national park almost 274 km with lunch boxes via Iringa town, you will be passing through countryside and have nice scenery and beautiful valleys and mountains. Upon arrival, you will Visit the museum which holds the head of the great local chief Mkwawa who resisted the Germans/in Iringa town, then drive to lodge/ hotel.
Day 9: Game drive in Ruaha national park
After breakfast from lodge enjoy a full day game drive with packed lunch provided, nice view of Ruaha river valley, great animals sightings like Kudu, wildebeests, elephants, zebra, lions, hippos, hartebeest, impala, antelope, giraffe, buffalo and many of them overnight at Hilltop lodge.
Day 10: Game drive and walking safari in Ruaha national park
Another full day game drives with packed lunch boxes. Enjoy half day game drive and during lunch, during the late afternoon, you will do 3 hours walking and overnight at the lodge.
Day 11: Ruaha to Dar es Salaam
After breakfast with your lunch boxes drive back to Dar es Salaam, 8 hours driving arrive in a night to your hotel.
